Todd Miller, Director, Marketing Management

Industry veteran Todd Miller brings fifteen years of multichannel marketing and business analytics experience to both LENSER clients and internal staff.

In his role as director Todd has been an integral player in the foundation of two of LENSER’s newest departments—B-to-B (business-to-business) Markets and Database, Merge-Purge & Analytics.

Database marketing for B2B retailers is a more layered and nuanced practice than B2C (business-to-consumer). Keenly aware of just how complex, fragmented, and dynamic this marketplace can be, Todd is well-positioned to help LENSER clients grow and strategize for optimal return on investment.

In addition to managing the staff of marketing managers primarily or exclusively devoted to these specific LENSER ventures, he still plays a day-to-day role for many of LENSER’s B-to-B and hybrid accounts, and is frequently asked to contribute his experience and insights during Best Practices reviews, as well as initial fact-finding missions with prospective and newly signed clients.

Specializing in database marketing and business analytics during his ten-year-plus tenure at LENSER, Todd has contributed to the success of many multichannel direct marketers from a wide range of merchandise categories including apparel, workplace safety, equestrian, medical imaging, wine, laboratory equipment, outdoor optics, library supplies and furniture, children’s toys, playground equipment, and general gift. Todd continues to play a key role in his clients’ marketing: strategic planning, contact management, annual sales forecasting and budgeting, campaign analysis and demand attribution modeling, lifetime value and cost of customer acquisition analysis—you name the function, Todd is intricately involved.

Prior to joining LENSER in 1999, Todd served as the database marketing manager for Sandvik Publishing, a Norwegian publisher of children's books. His experience also includes a three-year stint as circulation manager and database analyst for Griot's Garage, a consumer cataloger specializing in car care consumables, automotive tools and garage accessories.

Todd graduated in 1995 from the University of Puget Sound with a BA (Phi Beta Kappa) in English. He is a frequent speaker at the LENSER Summit, as well as database marketing trade shows, summits, and other direct marketing forums. Additionally, he is a regular contributor to the popular LENSER e-newsletter, and is periodically published in Multichannel Merchant and other industry publications.
