Guaranteed Service and Billing Audits
We employ a state-of-the-art proprietary auditing engine built on decades of freight logistics experience and programming expertise. By focusing exclusively on FedEx® and UPS®, we can provide the most comprehensive, sophisticated Billing and GSR audit (Guaranteed Service refund). Recovery rates vary by carrier, class, season and more. 2.8% recovery rate is expected for the GSR audit with the Billing audit returning an additional .5-1%.
How it works
UPS® and FedEx® services are guaranteed to be delivered on time. If a package is delivered late, the cost of shipping is refunded, but the customer must first file a refund claim with the carrier. To avoid this hassle, most shippers choose to overpay their UPS® or FedEx® bill rather than absorb the expense of processing the service failure refunds internally.
Now there's a simple solution to avoid paying for failed deliveries. Working through EDI and the web, Direct Recovery Solutions remotely verifies the delivery of every package you ship. When the service promise of the carrier isn't met, we make certain your full shipping expense is refunded. The weekly audit is conducted 100% offsite and there are no reports to generate, no papers to file or sort. Results are delivered each week by email with an adjusted amount to pay the carrier, and extensive reporting to assist in logistics planning. In our billing audit, we also screen for rate compliance, bogus address correction fees and more.
Since we have extensive information available in a client's shipping records, we work closely with our customers to tailor the information into useful reports that meet their business management needs.
Volume
Although small package auditing has historically been reserved to higher volume shippers, our scalable technology allows us to audit lower volume shippers as well. Our comprehensive service and billing audits can be adapted to the rigorous demands of almost any frequent shippers but we look for a minimum annual shipping volume of $70k/year.
We enjoy a growing customer base ranging from well-known corporate customers like Bosch and Prudential to high volume single location catalog shippers like Honda Direct and Birthday Express.
Cost
We operate on the standard industry contingency fee of 50% of savings, billed monthly for refunds secured during the prior month. High volume shippers may qualify for tiered discounts.
We are satisfaction-driven with no minimum service term required. We enjoy very low attrition but if you are ever dissatisfied, simply let us know and we'll discontinue the service immediately.
